Module Overview

Step back in time and explore Bunratty Castle, one of Ireland’s most iconic medieval strongholds. This educational module guides you through the castle’s grand halls, towers, and hidden nooks, revealing its fascinating history and the lives of those who lived within its walls. Beyond the castle, discover the network of buildings that supported it, from stables and workshops to the surrounding village, painting a vivid picture of medieval life in Ireland.


Our modules celebrate and preserve Ireland’s rich culture and heritage, preserving them for future generations. 


Along with various presentation options, we’ve included supplemental materials for both students and teachers.


Appropriate for:

Upper grade school children: can be modified for different age groups. 

Prep work:

10-60 min +printing (depends on how many components of the module are used

Classroom time:

30 min - 2 hours (more if in-classroom projects are included);  

Technical Requirement:

Computer access ideal, AV equipment or printer. 

Activities:

Additional projects for individuals, small groups, entire class and can be assigned

     for classroom or homework.
